GRASPED The Virtual HeySummit Masterclass – Module 6

HeySummit Affiliate Program

Video Transcript:

Welcome back. Now one of the ways to monetize your event is to allow affiliates to promote your tickets. And Hey Summit allows you to do that and set your parameters within the platform. For example, you can determine what your commission is going to be, and you can write in your own default payment terms.

You can also set up for, Hey Summit to ask specific questions, when an individual is going to be applying to become your affiliate, and then Hey Summit will give you a page where individuals can come and apply to become part of your summit affiliate program. Once affiliates have earned commission, you will be responsible to see to it that they are paid through the Hey Summit system. Now it's possible that you may want to use another system in order to run your affiliate program for your summit.

And that would typically mean that you are going to have the individual make a purchase in one platform. For example, you're looking at the platform Teachable here in this case, and then you'd want to have it individually moved into your summit at Hey Summit. And using a platform like Zapier, you’d typically be able to make this kind of connection.

However, in most cases, Hey Summit will not allow you to make a connection so that you can move individuals from one paying platform into Hey Summit. And so that means then that you will not be able to automate the payment process through an alternate affiliate platform. Hey Summit does have a workaround to this effect. One thing you can do is you can connect a specific shopping cart system called Thrivecart to your Hey Summit account.

This would mean that you can sell free and paid access to your summit through a shopping cart system, as well as run your affiliate program. And we will look at that in the next video.

Okay. So with that, thanks. And I will see you in the next video.
